Mexican Espresso Martini
Ages ago I bought a bottle of tequila. I can’t remember why but guessing it involved Mexican food as I do love making homemade fajitas. 😊
So, the other day when I was cleaning up, I found said bottle and thought what would it taste like combined with our coffee? And that’s how this Mexican Espresso Martini recipe came about.
In the recipe I replaced the vodka with tequila and kept the Kahlua as it still needs this sweetness. I also used our decaf cold drip coffee as I had an early Monday morning start and a caffeine-free cocktail is a must!
Have to say I’m pretty happy with the result and it was super easy to sip on. While the traditional espresso martini can be too sweet for me, this had just the right amount.
My recipe is below and love to know if you give it a go!
Ingredients:
• 30ml Dark City Foundry cold drip coffee
• 30ml tequila
• 30ml Kahlua⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Method:
Pour the coffee, tequila and Kahlua into a cocktail shaker, add ice, shake and then strain into a martini glass.
